On this episode of The Shades of Entrepreneurship - The Podcast, Gabriel Flores welcomes Sam Parra, founder of Parra Wine and former Latino FoundersPitch Latino competitor, to the show.
While at SSU, Sam worked at Pine Ridge Winery in Stag's Leap AVA, Napa Valley, and also assisted in Willamette Valley events. In 2016, he and his wife moved to Willamette Valley, and by 2018, he processed 3 tons of grapes, increasing to 16 tons in the following years. Parra Wine Co released its wines in spring 2019.
In 2020, Parra Wine Co was recognized as one of nine Hot Brands in Wine Business Monthly and featured in Forbes. In 2021, SevenFifty Daily showcased Sam as part of the next generation of Mexican-American winemakers.
In 2022, he was interviewed in "Dive In and Do the Work" after being featured in Wine Enthusiast.
Sam's latest venture is canned wines, making his brand the second domestic Latino-owned wine brand to do so.
